Why did you want to become a trial attorney?

First of all, my first career was as a professional flutist. I often times would approach performing by telling a story with my music to an audience. I do remember growing up where my dad was a trial attorney. Often times I would attend his trials when I was in middle school and high school. He impressed upon me his ability to tell a story to the judge and jury, and his very effective way of having a conversation with a witness.

When I decided to make the change and go to law school, it became apparent to me that being a trial lawyer was a way for me to tell my client's story, and that a lot of what the law is about is stories about people and how their facts and circumstances fit within the law. It is very meaningful for me to get up, whether it was as a criminal prosecutor in my prior profession, or now in the civil side, advocating on behalf of my client and telling their story to a jury is deeply meaningful to me.
